Bald Hill - Lawrence Hargraves Memorial
Situated at the Southern end of the Royal National Park at Stanwell Tops this is a popular spot for hang gliders and paragliders. Great views along the coast and an ice cream/food van is usually at the site. 

Bass and Flinders Memorial Lookout
Situated at the Southern tip of South Cronulla overlooking Port Hacking, Bundeena and the Royal National Park. This site recognises the achievements of George Bass and Matthew Flinders in discovering Port Hacking.

Cook's Landing Place (visit website)
Located in the Botany Bay National Park at Kurnell.
Information can be obtained from the Discovery Centre in the park. Whale watching is a popular attraction on the eastern side of the park.

Cronulla National Park Ferries (visit website)
Cronulla Wharf, Tonkin Street, Cronulla
Take a trip to Bundeena in the Royal National Park. This is a quiet coastal village on the southern shores of Port Hacking with cafes, RSL club, an Art Trail and a popular heritage walk. Great access for walkers to the royal National Park Coast Track. 
Cruises along the Hacking River into the Royal National Park are also available.

E.G. Waterhouse National Camellia Gardens

Camellias and azaleas are planted among native blueberry ash, tree fern, sassafras, eucalypts and Christmas bush, with Yowie Bay as a scenic background. The best time for camellias is in July to October, but the garden is worth visiting all year. The botanical collection of deciduous trees and shrubs numbers hundreds, incl. silver variegated box elder, elms, tallowwood, pistacia, maples and dawn redwood, providing summer shade for camellias. Other exotic plants complement a fine collection of roses and magnolias. Teahouse (open Mon-Fri 9.30am-3.30pm, Sat-Sun 9.30am-4.30pm). Kiosk, playground equipment, barbeques (electric, free), toilets. Closed Good Friday, Christmas & Boxing Days. Hours: Mon-Fri 9am-4pm,weekends/public holidays 9.30am-5pm (6pm daylight saving). Disability Access: Yes (Toilet in Teahouse & near lower gates, Kareena Rd.)

Joseph Banks Native Plants Reserve
Manooka Pl, Kareela
The garden has of plants typical of those from the time of Joseph Banks' 1770 flora survey around Botany Bay. Ferny gulleys, rainforest areas, waterfalls, walks, and plants including rare banksias and over 30 species of lilly pilly. Limited wheelchair access. Picnic tables, shelters, toilets, BBQs (wood provided). Closed Christmas Day and Good Friday. Hours: Mon-Fri 7am-3.30pm,Sat/Sun and public holidays 10am-5pm. Entry fee applies. Disability Access: Yes (Accessible toilet with MLAK lock).

National Parks (visit website)
Few places can boast four national parks within their boundaries. Information centres are available in Botany  Bay National Park at Kurnell or Royal National Park at Audley.

Sydney Tramway Museum (visit website)
Pitt Street & Princes Highway, Loftus
The museum contains over 40 tramcars from most Australian cities plus from USA, Germany and Japan, as well as photographic and tramway memorabilia displays. Trams operate on the Museum's 1.5km tramline towards Sutherland (Wed/Sun/pub. hols) and another line into Royal National Park (hourly 9.15am-4.15pm Sun/pub. hols/limited service on Weds). Additional days during school holidays. Limited parking is available in Pitt Street. Day ticket covers unlimited tram rides & includes museum display hall, picnic area with electric bbqs, plus kiosk and souvenir shop.

Symbio Wildlife Gardens (visit website)
7-11 Lawrence Hargrave Drive, Stanwell Tops
Just 15 minutes south of Sutherland, this is NSW's premier interactive wildlife park. Cuddle a koala, hand feed a kangaroo, have a dip in the pool, a picnic lunch or enjoy the facilities in the kiosk/coffee shop.

Woronora Dam
Located off the Old Princes Highway south of Waterfall. This dam on the Woronora is part of Sydney's water supply system. Picnic areas and BBQs available.
